Fix early, pay less
A small leak is cheap to fix and expensive to ignore. Water that keeps getting in soaks insulation, rots framing, feeds mould and can reach wiring, and by the time it shows inside the bill has grown well past the original fault. Why is my leak not where the water comes through?
Because water travels. It gets in at one point, runs along iron or timber, and drips through the ceiling somewhere else. That is exactly why we trace a leak back to its real source rather than just sealing the spot where you see it.
What causes most roof leaks?
Failed flashings are the most common culprit, followed by rusted or backed-out fixings, rusted iron, cracked or slipped tiles, blocked valleys, and poorly sealed penetrations around pipes and vents. We diagnose which one it is before we fix anything.
Can you help with storm damage, or just do a temporary fix for now?
Yes to both. If a storm has lifted iron or cracked tiles we will get to you fast to make the roof safe and weathertight, then carry out the proper repair. We will always tell you which one we are doing and never pass a patch off as a permanent fix.
Will my insurance cover a roof leak?
It depends on your policy and the cause. Sudden storm damage is more likely to be covered than general wear and tear, but we are not your insurer and cannot promise what they will pay. We can assess the damage, explain the cause clearly and give you a written quote to put in front of them.
Will you tell me if I actually need a new roof?
